Come join the Sports Zone 101 coaches as we teach the basic skills and movements needed to play baseball. We will instruct all kids on how to hold the bat correctly, hit the ball off a tee, field a ball, throw a ball and learn how to become an awesome teammate! We will spend time getting to know each other, learn more about the way our bodies move and explore new ways to stay active and have fun doing it! Golf is a lifelong sport. The smell of fresh-cut grass, the crisp morning air, the feeling of the perfect tee shot--its not hard to love a few hours on the greens. But what makes golf even better is playing with friends and loved ones. We cant promise that we will produce the next pro golfer in our program, but we can guarantee that your children will have lots of fun, be introduced to traditional golf grips and hitting stances, and get a little practice with putting and chipping. Using the US Kids Golf Early Start Program, each class will consist of short lessons followed by small group activities. On a mission to redefine kid food; Kids’ Test Kitchen’s enthusiastic Facilitators get eaters of all ages and abilities, cooking, tasting, and thinking about healthy ingredients!Kids’ Test Kitchen presents kids the opportunity to explore new or familiar foods in their raw, unmanipulated state. Then, working as a team, they’ll slice, dice, peel, measure, and cook until they’ve prepared the finished dish. Class closes with an opportunity to taste the result of their hard work. Doing some Spring cleaning? What a great way to get rid of some of your old appliances, clothes, furniture, etc then to have a Yard Sale! The Woburn Recreation Department will be running our annual City Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, May 3rd. If you are interested in having a yard sale and would like to place your house on our Yard Sale Map you can mail in the registration form or you can register online.City Wide Yard Sale Registration & Payment forms must be submitted to the Woburn Recreation Department by Friday, April 25th to guarantee a spot on the map. If you are interested in attending the City Wide Yard sales on Saturday, May 3rd you can pick up the map at Spence Farm the day of the yard sales (41 Wyman St) or view it online after May 1st. *New this year! Community Yard Sale at Spence FarmReady to clean some stuff out but don't have enough for your own yard sale? Come join us at our community yard sale. Registration is for those wanting to rent a spot at Spence Farm (Outside) from you to sell your goods. Just want to browse? No problem, no need to register, just stop on by! Set up can begin at 8am for vendors on the  Lawn, weather providing. The Indoor space will be used if needed. Tables will not be provided you must provide your own. All sales and payments are through individual vendor, please bring your own change. All goods must be removed from premises at the end of the event. Adaptive recreation is a program that has been modified to meet the needs of a specific group of participants with varying physical or cognitive disabilities. This could be through equipment, content and rules, structure, support or environment. South Shore Blanket Parties will walk you through the hand knitting technique- a life long skill that is therapeutic, meditative and fun.Absolutely no prior knitting experience required.
