Woburn Youth Field Hockey – Fall 2026 Registration Opening May 1
Join Woburn’s youth field hockey program, open to players entering Grades 1–8 in Fall 2026. Build skills, have fun, and compete in a supportive team environment. No experience required.
Season: Late August – Early November
Games: Sundays; Format: 8 games total (4 home, 4 away)
Practices: 1–2 times per week (TBD)
League: Baystate Youth Field Hockey League / Middlesex County Conference
Teams:
- Grades 1–4 play on a half field
- Grades 5–8 compete on a full field
Registration Fee: $125
Please note: Registered families will receive a link to order uniforms directly from our vendor and are responsible for purchasing the base uniform by the deadline provided. Participants’ names, team assignments, and contact information will be shared with our uniform vendor.
Player Equipment Needed: Stick, shin guards, mouth guard, and goggles (Grades 1-6).
Please note: The Baystate Youth Field Hockey League requires protective goggles for players in Grades 1–6 only. Standard lacrosse or field hockey goggles are both acceptable. For players on the 7th & 8th grade team, goggles are optional.
Standard 7th & 8th grade level team equipment, specifically corner masks for defensive corner play, will be provided to the 7th & 8th Grade team.

Important Registration Reminder
Families are strongly encouraged to confirm that their child’s age and grade level are accurate (should reflect current 2025-2026 school year grade) in the Woburn Recreation registration system BEFORE registration opens.
The system automatically places players based on the grade listed in their account, and it will not allow registration for a team if the grade does not match the program requirements.
Teams can fill quickly. Please review and update your child’s profile ahead of May 1 to avoid any issues during registration.
Registration Timeline:
- Registration Opens: May 1
- Priority Registration (Woburn residents only): May 1 – May 31
- Final Registration Deadline: June 14
If a team becomes full, please add your player to the waitlist. We will evaluate whether we are able to add additional teams based on three factors:
- The number of players on the waitlist
- The availability of coaching volunteers
- Field availability
