Lisa Murphy, Instructor. Yin yoga is a floor-based practice accessible to all students and designed to encourage stillness in both the body and mind. Yin yoga applies emphasis to slowing down and holding the postures for extended periods of time. In this class we will focus on exploring the release of deeply held patterns within the connective tissue of the body, effectively releasing deep rooted tension within your hips, shoulders and low back. We will close with a guided meditation to bring you back to a calm centered state. Yin is a fantastic complement to more dynamic activities and to our Yang lifestyle in general
